Hot Hot Hot in Norwich!

It's going to be a hot, hot, hot week! Which is great news as there are some big events in the Norwich area to take yourself off to. First in the diary is the Royal Norfolk Show (1st & 2nd July), the largest agricultural show in the country - countryside activities, displays, Norfolk produce, horses, livestock, trade stands, education plus loads more.

If you fancy taking yourself in from the sun try the Norwich City College, School of Creative Arts end of Year show open daily excepts Sundays from 10am - 4pm.

The Wymondham Music Festival is in it's last week so don't miss your chance to enjoy some good music and shows in this pretty South Norfolk market town.

Finally, on Sunday there will be a bandstand concert at Waterloo Park. An ideal way to spend the last few hours on a summer weekend. Sit back in a deck chair with an ice cream and listen to some invigorating music, or even trip the light fantastic and get up and have a dance - a great British past-time!

Whatever you decide to do this week, enjoy yourself in Norfolk and make the most of the beautiful weather.

Summer Sales in Norwich have started ...

Yippee, the summer sales have started and I cannot wait to get out into those shops to spend, spend, spend! Norwich is great for shopping for many reasons - you can walk everywhere, there's a great choice of high street and independent retailers, we have 2 shopping centres, flagship stores for John Lewis and M&S AND we have our very own independent department store, Jarrold.

I will be scooting down to Jarrold today to take a look at the fab jewellery. They sell lots of quirky designers and offer a really good quality selection with prices ranging from sensible to 'splash out and treat yourself'!

Next on my list will be a trip through the Norwich Lanes and Upper St Giles searching for bargains with unique and interesting features (great for birthday presents). Then towards the end of the week I will make my way to Chapelfield and the rest of the city - phew! At least I won't have to worry about exercising with all the walking I will be doing and I certainly won't be stopping for anything to eat ... although there are some great little deli's and cake shops on the route. Hmmm ....
